She is easily one of the most sought after astrology, Astro gemologist and life coach consultants, shining light on the path forward for some of the most illustrious industrialists, leaders, business heads and celebrities among others.
It would be really interesting for our readers to know how you decided to venture into this field…
Well, there is a carefully crafted order to the universe but we as mere mortals may not be able to perceive it, as we regard our judgment and thinking as the best. It was a conscious decision to take the path of studying Vedic astrology and planetary gemology. I have always had an academic bent of mind, so poring over several astrology related books and texts was quite interesting. Also empathy and an ease with which I could embrace a spiritual regimen also helped with growth. There were definite watershed events that presented either/ or choices but fortunately I was brave enough to say yes to the right ones. In retrospect I do realise that the value systems and demands of my current profession is in sync with who I always have been. Kindness, empathy, honesty, spiritual growth – all these have been the pillars of our work and that is why I have been able to walk with ease thus far.
What according to you are essential qualities for women to be successful?
This is a tough one that I get asked, and there is no one rule fits all answer over here. Each woman is unique and can bring something incredible to the table in her area of work. The qualities that define success are actually specific to specific roles. If you really enjoy something, and as I mentioned earlier share similar value systems, success is a foregone conclusion. However, in any line of work, integrity, compassion, patience, emotional resilience and focus on sustaining quality of product or service offered are a must for moving ahead. Can women have it all? A successful career as well as a satisfying family life?
That’s a very interesting question and I believe that women across the world pressurise themselves into extremely demanding situations trying to live the dream of having it all. There is an internal desire to succeed professionally but also DNA level programming which is unforgiving if the role of mother or spouse or daughter or daughter-in-law is found lacking in some way.I think, quite practically speaking, that mostly, it is possible to have one thing at a time.
It is almost impossible to multitask (a big myth) because the mind can address only one question at a time. Imagine – to juggle between the absence of an employee on a day with an important meeting, a sudden crisis hitting the life of a client and at the same time making sure that you have not missed out on any of the things to be packed for your child’s first trip out of station – it is quite mind-boggling.
So between judging yourself for your performance as a career woman and wondering if you have been the ideal mother, or have you done right by your parents – it is like finding yourself between a rock and a hard place every other day.
Any successful person understands this and at the same time is kind enough not to impose exacting standards on oneself. The first rule of success is to extend compassion towards self – knowing well that some days you will have a laurel wreath on your head for your good work and the other days it may only be a warm embrace from your parent or your child – a generous reward falling in your kitty. One has to learn to operate in the space that lies between all and none. And quite happily at that. That is what being a real person is about and not what that over achieving everything a successful person is made out to be!
How can people benefit from Vedic Astrology and by using jyotish/ planetary gemstones by using them? Does it really make a difference?
A person may be seeking help, a solution or a breakthrough in any area of life – professional life (gain of income, profits, fame and popularity, business expansion, partnership deals, getting promotion, finding mental peace and focus, resolving interpersonal differences etc.); financial matters (trading, making profitable investments, increasing assets/ wealth etc.), personal relationships like marriage with all the complications and issues; health related matters – (both physical and mental) and so many more things that come associated with the human desires and aspirations.Vedic astrology helps in creating a birth chart that is a map of human life that gives a peek into an individual’s life – from womb to tomb. This in turn helps in arriving at an understanding of the planetary energies that will aid an individual and those others that will play out the role of karmic teachers, whose lessons may not be easy. Planetary gem therapy is all about using natural, treatment free jyotish quality gemstones/ Navratna Stones to harness the energy of planets that can aid us in our progress and growth. These are the top 2 per cent gemstones in terms of quality.
Each of the nine planets has a characteristic planetary energy and color transmitted through light, attributed to them. (Color is a component of light. A colour is energy of a specific wavelength and frequency.) Planetary gem Therapy works on the premise of passage of light through the gemstone into the human energy system via touch. Natural gemstones are a powerful tool that helps harness power of this solution. A person, when wearing the gemstone of an appropriate and powerful planetary energy can achieve all kinds of success. Again the same principle – what is in sync with your prakriti, your elemental nature and energy will take you towards the best outcomes for you.
At Gemstoneuniverse under the guidance of the Grandmaster-Revered Guruji Shrii Arnav we have witnessed powerful personal change over 2 and half decades in the lives of our patrons. We are proud to have patrons who started as Peons and ended up as owners of Travel companies owing a fleet of multitude of vehicles to Statesmen who influence world decisions.
Do tell us some principles that one follow in everyday life to invite wealth, enhance personal charm/ attraction and succeed in endeavors?
There are so many things a person can do but I will leave you with 5 pointers that if followed diligently in life for 73 days straight can begin to show marked difference– Make sure that you have your bath before 10 am every day. (Yes it is as simple as that. You will have to give up lazy Sundays though.)
– Do not complain. I am not talking about the big issues like legal matters and ethical issues etc. where redressal is a must. But abstain from complaining and carping all the time (it’s so hot, she’s too shrill, why me etc. Do what you can do about the situation. If there is nothing that can be changed or altered, the least you can do is to stop complaining. It will alter YOUR energy)
– Offer a portion (you get to decide how much – it can be anything) of your earnings back – to charity, as a donation or in any other way you deem fit.
– Discover the power of speaking softly – audibly sure but softly.
– Forgive people who have wronged you. It definitely does not mean you put yourself in a similar situation. It just means you have let go of bitterness and disengaged completely in peace.

During the lockdown most of the people tried their culinary skills, made delectable food using so called dadi-nani ki recipe”, started their food channel on social media and had their own experiences. Likewise amidst the lockdown, a family based out of West Delhi with a passion of cooking came up with an innovative concept of “Ginzz Kitchen”.
As the brand speaks, Ginzz Kitchen itself speaks about its authenticity which starts by its name – kitchen and secret recipes by the founder duo of Mother Mrs. Sujata Bhatia and daughter-in-law Mrs Amrita Bhatia. The innovative concept of Ginzz Kitchen comes with passion of cooking from both the homemakers.
Amrita feels herself to be the blessed daughter-in-law having big horizon and learning tips from her both the mothers – birth mother who hails from Kabul and mother-in-law who is from Gujarat. The blend of knowledge from both the mothers makes her a perfect homemaker and entrepreneur.
Ginzz Kitchen’s specialties are varieties of homemade namkeen and desserts. Amrita says, “As in North India people like to munch tea time snacks – which introduces our home made Matthis and namkeens. For taking care of homemade namkeens we have a wide range of crunchy nimki (namak para), punjabi para (gurpara), shankarpali (shaker para) to chivda namkeen and murmura namkeen. MR. MOUSTACHE’S CAKES
Mr. Moustache’s Cakes is an online home bakery venture set in motion by the father-daughter duo with contrasting professional backgrounds i.e. Mr. Arun Choudhary in Electronics and Ms. Khushboo Chaudhary into the Fashion Industry. MMC’s concoction of one of the duo on the verge of retirement and another taking-off with business career makes a preposterous blend of generations, the exotic combination to bring our taste buds to life. Classic teacakes of MMC include Chocolate, Marble, Banana, Malai, Plum, and Pineapple Upside-Down cake adding a luscious twist to your serving. Our menu introduced Coffeecake, Red Velvet cake, Chia muffins, Lemon cake and Carrot cake to cast flavoring delights, definitely something rich and scrumptious. In recent times, our Peanut butter brownies are the most loved by our customers. As winter is approaching up, our latest addition is orange upside-down cake.
We only promote healthy cakes. Mr. Moustache’s Cakes got its first big break in 2019, after becoming the gifting partner and valiantly participating at Ramola Bachchan’s Houseful exhibition. Last winter, Mr. Moustache’s Cakes took part in the city’s greatest winter showcase – The Gurgaon Market by Karen Anand, with the freshest menus and unique plum cakes. We also participated in the seventh release of Horn OK Please – Delhi’s Happiest Food Festival, and being the nourishment partner for the notable Le Rhythm and The Rhythm school of music to praise the “Young celebration of shades of India” with our gift hampers for participants, judges, and audience. We also partnered with Sri Ram College of Commerce as their food accomplice during their fest, Odyssey 2020 where they provided cakes for eating competitions. Not only that, but their work has also been acknowledged by recommendation platforms like what’s hot, LBB, Chef Bharat, Humans of Delhi etc.
Mr. Moustache’s Cakes is a bakery whose foundation was laid almost a year ago by two partners who, to the very least, have an age difference of 30 years. In usual circumstances, a dad would be contemplating his retirement plans; however here is baker dad, who has started building his own small world where he learnt everything on his own. We are breaking all the stereotypes here, the dad enters the kitchen and the daughter is running the business. Another one would be making people get away from icing cakes and switching to healthier cakes. Baker dad has never differentiated between a boy and a girl. He raised his daughter in a gender-neutral environment. To take the legacy forward, Khushboo is making sure; she becomes the boss lady and defies all the odds. This is our effort to contribute to society and bring a change!

Mr. Amit Bagga
DARYAGANJ
By the Inventors of Butter Chicken & Dal Makhani is one restaurant, which continues to be loved by its patrons. Beauty & The Best in conversation with Co-founder Amit Bagga to know more about Daryaganj and Food Industry Post Covid.
Let us know about your brand Daryaganj?
Daryaganj is a North Indian cuisine restaurant brand which is a tribute to Late Mr. Kundan Lal Jaggi, the inventor of Butter Chicken and Dal Makhani by his grandson Raghav Jaggi and Amit Bagga. This brand celebrates the legacy of Tandoori cuisine. The culinary legacy goes back decades to the era of Indian Independence, when Kundan Lal Jaggi, a refugee from Peshawar of Undivided India came to Delhi with nothing but the skills of Tandoori cuisine. Butter Chicken and Dal Makhani are arguably the most popular dishes in any north Indian restaurant.
Daryaganj showcases the history of Tandoori cuisine and its evolution, serving all dishes invented by Kundan Lal Jaggi. With valuable inputs from Kundan Lal Jaggi and his family, his secret recipes of that era are being re-created. It is a celebration of robust Indian flavours from the northwest frontier, brought to life using fresh local produce.
Which are the best five best dishes in Daryaganj?
We have a few signature secret recipes of 1947 dishes such as Butter Chicken, Dal Makhani, Chicken Pakora, Tandoori Chicken and Lockdown Haldi Chicken.
What are your major accomplishments so far?
Our major accomplishment is all the love and loyalty we have won from our patrons. Their encouragement is our biggest achievement. In less than one year we have opened four outlets of Daryaganj, which shows people faith in us. They have loved our food and have accepted the trend of going back to classics.
What’s the difference between Butter chicken 1947 and Butter chicken 2020 – 1947 butter chicken is made with the Original Recipe and consisting of chunky tomatoes as during those years there were no mixers or grinders. Whereas Butter chicken of2020 is also made with tomatoes which are well pureed to make a smooth velvety gravy, Dairy cream and boneless chicken tikka are added to this curry.
What are the changes in the industry Post COVID Pandemic?
First and Foremost, change is 50% seating capacity. Restaurants have very well adapted to the culture of social distancing as the business had to restart, and now it’s become part of the SOPS of a restaurant. The biggest challenge is the lesser capacity of seats. Because of that, we can’t hire all our employees back to keep it viable to operate the Restaurant. We divide our slots to spread out the flow of customers at peak timings. We have completely changed the way we work and we are extremely particular about all the safety measures.
What are the new things you are doing? Anything special for the festive season?
We are launching a new concept of delivery, where we are trying to recreate the Restaurant’s experience at the guest’s home. It will be a first of its kind concept in India. We are also working on our Mithai Segment and are hopeful of launching it soon.
For dine-in customers, we have specially made Baileys Kulfi at Daryaganj. Bailey’s Kulfi is one of the dedicated experiments in-house at Daryaganj. It is a fusion of a traditional dessert but experimented with a modern twist.
Plans for 2021?
We are planning our expansion in June 2021, and we plan to expand nationwide and internationally as well.
